Flighty's Road
About
Flighty's Road, Rural
Flighty's Road Summary - Located on Flighty’s Road, this renovation reconfigured the second storey of a barn-style pole home to address inefficient planning. The original layout’s angled hallways and irregular spaces limited circulation and wasted floor area. A rationalised design introduced a new bathroom, ensuite, and improved hallway flow, transforming redundant zones into practical spaces. Careful detailing resolved structural constraints, resulting in a more functional, efficient upper level with improved usability, better connections between rooms, and a well-considered, cohesive spatial outcome.
Located on Flighty’s Road, this renovation focused on the reconfiguration of the second storey within an existing barn style pole home. The original layout presented a series of angled hallways and irregular spaces, resulting in poor circulation and a significant amount of unusable floor area.
The design approach centred on rationalising the upper level to improve spatial efficiency and functionality. Through careful planning and restructuring of the internal layout, previously redundant areas were redefined to create purposeful, usable spaces that better support everyday living.
The reconfiguration introduced a new main bathroom and ensuite, along with a redesigned hallway that improves flow and connection between rooms. Working within the constraints of the existing structure required considered detailing and precise execution, particularly where varying wall angles and junctions intersected.
The result is a significantly more functional upper level, where space has been optimised and circulation improved, delivering a practical and well resolved outcome within the existing footprint.

The Client Testimonial
Brad and his team installed a new bathroom for me at the end of last year. I was impressed with the level of professionalism and I am very happy with the work. - Charlie Nairne
