Got questions?  You’re not alone, here are the ones our clients often ask when getting started.

  • Why is it important to use a certified builder?

Only a Certified Builder can give you the confidence that your builder is fully trade-qualified and backed by consumer-friendly contracts that protect you every step of the way. A certified builder will also provide a Halo 10 year guarantee.

  • When should I involve a builder?

It’s best to involve a builder early to ensure designs align with your budget. Without builder input, there’s a risk of ending up with plans that are not financially feasible.

  • Is my existing house covered by my builder’s insurance during construction?

No - a builder’s construction and liability insurance only covers the specific work outlined in the building contract, not your existing home.

  • Can I make changes during the project?

We’re happy to accommodate any changes you wish to make to improve your home. Any adjustments that result in extra labour or material costs will be considered a contract variation. These changes will be priced and submitted for your approval before any work begins.

  • How will you ensure our project keeps to budget?

From the initial design stage, we collaborate with you to ensure your project stays within budget, drawing on our expertise in material selection and coordination with designers and quantity surveyors. If you already have plans, we will review all documentation and advise on any additional details needed to provide an accurate, comprehensive quote, minimising provisional sums and reducing risk and exposure for you.
